Date TBC Nikki Rummer, educational assistant at Tender is backflipping 100 times through Camden Town to raise awareness about domestic violence and funds for Tender's work Preparing herself for the inevitable headiness, Nikki says ‘I hope this lively expression of movement will serve as a visual token to people of how fear due to an abusive relationship continues to trap women behind closed doors, without dignity or freedom, and can paralyse them, disabling vulnerable women from expressing or acting against their exploitation.' According to the British Crime Survey 05/06, one in five women and one in ten men had experienced physical force by a partner since the age of 16. Join us on the 25th August to show your support and help Nikki celebrate her backflip marathon! Tender's TRUST project reaches record number of young people
In the past 12 months, TRUST has worked with over 46 groups of young Londoners - a new record for our organisation! We have worked in secondary schools, refuges and youth centres in over 17 London boroughs.
TRUST aims to educate, challenge and support young people in their exploration of healthy and unhealthy relationships. Through drama and performance, these young people communicate their concerns about violence and abuse to an audience of their choice.
