Community Cashback

Community Cashback is a new scheme in England and Wales which gives local people a say in how £4million of recovered criminal assets (for example confiscated cash or property) should be spent in their communities.

The Trust Project has been nominated to potentially receive some of this funding. We need everyone to vote for us to help us out!  It only takes a few seconds.  Click here to get to the website, click on 'London' and then you have the option to 'have your say' which will take you to the list of nominations. You can then vote for the Trust Project. You can do this once every 24 hours per computer so if you have access to lots of computers do feel free to vote lots!!

New Education Project: PUSH

We are piloting a new project in January 2009.

The project, PUSH, will work with disadvantaged and at risk young people to prevent assault in their relationships and unwanted pregnancies. PUSH aims to reduce the amount of teenage pregnancies that are caused by abuse.

The pilot project will be delivered to 5 Pupil Referral Units and youth centres in Barnet, Brent and Camden initially.

If you are interested in further commisioning or funding this work, please get in touch by contacting Susie MacDonald at susie@tender.org.uk

Emma Humphries Memorial Awards Nomination

We have also been nominated for the Emma Humphries Memorial Award which recognises women's organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to raising awareness about violence against women.

National Lottery Awards Semi-finalist

Our Trust Project was a semi-finalist in the Big Lotteries Awards. We were shortlisted amongst 720 other candidates and competed for the Best Education Project.

"We are very pleased with the increasing recognition of the work we do with young people. Having worked in over 40 schools, Pupil Referral Units and youth centres this year, we’ve had enormous growth since delivering the Trust project to just 5 schools in 2004."

Susie McDonald, Education Manager
